Mihovil Rismondo was born in Split in 1950.
He attended elementary school and high school (gymnasium) in Split.
He holds a BA in Economics – Marketing Studies from the University of Zagreb.
From 1960 to 1975 he swam and played waterpolo in “Jadran” Split.
From 1977 to 1991 he worked in Split, at Ozeha agency, the largest (so-called “full service”) promotional agency in ex. Yugoslavia.
From 1991 to 2015 he worked at the promotional agency Oglas studio in Split.
2001/2002. He lectured, as an external associate at the University of Split, two courses: Consumer behavior and Small business marketing.
From 2002 to 2010 he worked as an external associate at the Faculty of Economics in Split as a lecturer and exercise leader of Promotion colloquium and held consultations at the Consumer behavior colloquium.
From 2004 to 2008 he has been working as marketing advisor for the Spectator Group, Sunseeker and Avis rent a car.
2005 designed and until 2015 produced sports television show “Truth to the goal” (“Istinom do gola”).
In 1979, after passing professional exam at the Ozeha agency, he gained the title Propagandist-conceptionist, i.e. from that date he was able to independently contract, conceive, plan and execute all forms of promotional actions and means (creating company’s name and logo / product / service, brochure, paper, posters, newspaper, radio and TV ads, computer advertising, annual and multi-year promotional campaigns, trade shows, PR slogans, event promotion, market research, etc.).
While working at the Ozeha agency, he independently managed:
Adria Zadar (Eva sardine program), Jugovinil, Cetinka Trilj,
and also realized individual promotional campaigns or funds to:
Jugoplastika, Dalmacijavino, Textile factory B. Kidrič, Tankerska plovidba Zadar, MIS 79, Brodomerkur, Jadrantekstil, Dalmacijavino, HRT, Alkaloid Skopje and Camel jeans.
From 1991 to 2015 at the advertising agency Oglas studio he worked on promotion activities: Split 96 music festival, Heineken, Amstel beer, Feral Tribune, American Budweiser beer, Slobodna Dalmacija media company, AZ pension funds, Sunseeker, Elan, Avis, Aston Martin, Budget, Spectator business system, Goethe Institut Kroatien and Sections of Croatian interventional radiologists.
In addition to the above, from 1977 to the present he worked on the realization of:
1983 for the German edition of Playboy, as producer of the reportage “Girls of olympic Sarajevo”,
In 1985, he wrote the screenplay and directed video for “Autumn Morning” with Rade Šerbedžija and Aleksandra Kosanović, based on the poem by Dobriša Cesarić (cameraman Andrija Pivčević),
1992 at Promo market communications festival, he organized and led the competition categories “TV ads” and “Complete promotional campaigns”, was president of the Association of employees in promotion of the Split-Dalmatia county, member of the Presidency of the Croatian advertising association,
In 2003 he designed and implemented the referendum for Slobodna Dalmacija media company for name selectioning for the Zagreb – Split highway,
From 2003 to 2007, he was a member of the City of Split Board of nominations for the 2010 World athletics cup – Split,
2004 organized “Four cities marathon” (Seget – Kaštela – Solin – Split),
2012/2013. in Split he designed and realized, in cooperation with kindergartens, the Šarena project – the days of painted eggs at Easter,
2012 designed and in 2013/14/15 realized, in collaboration with the group of sports workers in Split, veteran sports competition “Split sport open”,
2015 organized Swimming marathon “Three swimming pools” (POŠK, Jadran, Mornar),
In 2016, he had solo exhibitions of collages from the Silba cycle on the island of Silba and in Split.
In 2017, he had solo exhibition of collages from the Silba cycle in Zadar
In 2019, he had solo exhibition of collages – triptychs from the Haiku images cycle in Split
